This personal project began from an ink drawing I made for Inktober 2019 and is (guiltily) 2 years in the making. Despite it taking so long for me to finish this model, I have enjoyed seeing the progression throughout my time making it. It shows how my confidence as a model maker has grown (with both the painting and the detail changes each time I worked on him) as I have gone from 2D to 3D renditions of this character.
I used a mix of wire and tinfoil to create the skeleton before layering up 'Super Sculpey' clay for the rest of the build. I knew I wanted this to be a sedentary character, based on my earlier drawing, so I baked the clay to allow for an easier surface to apply paint to. I used the Vallejo acrylic model paints to finish off this piece.
